One of the main objectives of religious school training is preparation to become a B’nei Mitzvah (Bar or Bat Mitzvah). Rabbi Goodman is able to help students of all levels and abilities rise to the occasion. Throughout their time in religious school, the students get much practice and become comfortable with all aspects of the rituals such that there is no trouble for them to lead the service on their special day. The B’nei Mitzvot at our temple are beautifully carried out in our special Garden City Jewish Center way, and end up with parents, family, and the B’nei Mitzvah student proud of their accomplishment. One of the advantages of our small congregation is that you can pretty much pick your own B’nei Mitzvah day and usually there will be no other B’nei Mitzvot on that day.
